Keeping wholesale requirements intact
Customers choose dropshipping in the cart, add a purchase-order number and packing-slip preferences, and enter the recipient’s delivery address at checkout. Orders remain full cases; the feature does not introduce individual-pair fulfillment.
Three shipping arrangements
The workflow supports Easy USA shipping, the customer’s own UPS account with billing authorization, or labels supplied by the customer. Staff review customer-provided shipping, packing slips, and requested sender names before fulfillment.
Working within Shopify’s constraints
Liquid renders the form in the cart and cart drawer. JavaScript manages conditional fields, validation, and saving cart attributes before checkout. Shopify carries those attributes onto the order.
Passing the choice between apps
HideShip cannot read the cart-level attributes used by the form. To identify customer-provided shipping, JavaScript adds one of two zero-dollar, nonphysical marker products. HideShip can use those markers to show the matching method and hide incompatible choices, while ShipX continues calculating the existing rates.
What is built and what remains
Shopify Flow already tags dropship orders and packing-slip requirements. The fulfillment-hold workflow is drafted, and the custom shipping methods are being configured for a tagged QA customer. The theme implementation is still an unpublished preview: checkout rates, automatic holds, and end-to-end checkout-to-fulfillment testing remain unfinished.
