Starting with the existing information
Sage held product information that was useful to both the store and warehouse, but exports had truncated some of the notes. Direct SQL access let me recover the full notes and work with the underlying records.
Cleaning up the catalog
I wrote 846 UPCs to Shopify barcodes, retained 129 genuine loose or open inventory records, and organized other annotations into warehouse notes. I also corrected weight and dimension data across more than 1,100 variants, using Sage as the reference.
Making the data easier to use
I built Product Intelligence tools, warehouse-note search and filtering, and risk-based SKU spot-check sheets. Scheduled customer and sales exports supported repeatable reporting.
Why this work mattered to me
This was a practical extension of operations work: understanding what the information meant, finding where it was inconsistent, and building ways to make it easier to use. It also gave me more experience working directly with data and the systems behind the storefront.
Part of a broader effort
This project is part of my ongoing work to modernize Easy USA, connecting improvements to the store with the systems and processes behind it.
