The account workflow
Wholesale accounts need more context than an email address. Staff also need customer numbers, payment terms, purchase history, and the right pricing access. I worked on bringing that information and those workflows into Shopify.
What I built
The initial application and approval flow created a company, assigned a customer number, and granted access. The approach later changed to company creation during checkout, using customer and order webhooks with a returning-customer fallback. I also built an admin customer block showing Sage history and recent orders.
Following up on the exceptions
I backfilled verified Sage customers, corrected terms labels for 832 customers, and restored access for 156 verified wholesale customers who were missing it. I also fixed approval bugs and a bulk-order pricing leak.
What remained open
Existing businesses using new email addresses could still create duplicate companies. I investigated those cases and documented saved-card and draft-order limitations; the work did not resolve every account-reconciliation issue.
Part of a broader effort
This project is part of my ongoing work to modernize Easy USA, connecting improvements to the store with the systems and processes behind it.
